IC INFORMATION
Character Name: Eli Clark (Seer).
Canon: Identity V.
Canon Point: Season 16 Essence 01.
Background: "From an early age, Eli could see "visions" and interactions with these visions caused Eli to view the world with an all-new perspective. However, this ability didn't improve his finances and a promise he made to his fiancée forced him to accept the invitation from Oletus Manor. Will his marvelous ability help him overcome his financial difficulties?" Official backstory blub.
Translated Deduction Quests.
Suitability: As someone with a strong belief in his God, Eli is someone who goes wherever his God sends him. Before, it had been Oletus Manor; now in Thorne, he'd see it as his help is needed here, his powers and visions, and guess that this is something he was chosen by his God to do. He was told to accept the invitation to the Manor no matter what, and assumed that was his punishment for breaking his oath, but being sent somewhere else could still be part of his punishment. Without deeper insight, he'd be willing to offer help to Thorne as that's where he imagines his help is needed, but depending on their morals and general choices towards other people (especially those who are weak and innocent), Eli might even doubt that it's Thorne he's supposed to offer his aid, and become even more involved in this world's affairs than previously thought, all the while keeping his distance.
Powers: Eli was born with the Great Eye, the ability to see into the future. He's a druidic seer, and has always had prophecies since he was born. There's no saying how near or far the futures he sees are, either a few seconds to minutes, days or weeks, or potentially even years into the future.
He's also directly connected with his owl, Blodeuwedd (or Brooke Rose as per English mistranslations), and can both see through her eyes, and store his soul inside of her. When he does that, however, he temporarily loses his body's senses (sight and hearing), and becomes very vulnerable to attacks. He's also generally more connected with the supernatural.

PERSONALITY QUESTIONS
Describe an important event in your character's life and how it impacted them."Diary 5: I can always remember the first time I saw her. It must be one of the most blessed moments of my life. I don’t understand why she felt special, but our time together was so charming. It makes losing her an unbearable path to go down."
For someone who kept himself distanced away from other people, his meeting with Gertrude, his fiancée, was life-changing. She's the most important person in Eli's life, and even for her he was willing to break his oath, which caused him to be punished by his God and sent to Oletus Manor. If not for her, the most important event in his life would've been his meeting with Blodeuwedd, his owl, who introduced him to his God and sharpened his abilities as a seer. However, his feelings for Gertrude are far too strong, to the point he was willing to break rules for her family's safety. He was ghosted by his God for a while after that, and the only time he was spoken to after the incident was when he was told to go to the Manor, from where it is very likely he would not be coming back.
Does your character have a moral code, or other set of standards they try to live by?Eli's moral code is not very obvious and clear at first sight. Moved by his religion, as a seer he's naught but an observer. An argument can be raised that if he can see the future, he can see ill that might befall others, can see catastrophe in one's life, as seen when he told his fiancée about his prophecy, which saved her family from bankruptcy and likely changed their lives forever. His visions can change fate, can avoid misfortune, and no matter how kind-hearted Eli Clark is, his moral codes still default him to an observer and nothing more. He'll watch others have their lives ruined, or lose a family member even though he might've known they'd pass away due to an incident that maybe could've been avoided — all if he had told them of his prophecy. One could argue that this behavior makes him a morally gray kind of character, and even he himself acknowledges he is not the textbook definition of a good person. Though in the Manor he is allowed to tank hits for his teammates, it comes at the cost of his own health and well-being; a punishment for interfering with one's future.
What quality or qualities do they admire most?He values people who are kind-hearted and compassionate. As someone born differently from other people, without the ability (or rather permission) to involve himself too deeply, seeing people who can so freely help others is something he values in humans. It could be said that he's merely envious of them and their interpersonal relationships, being able to offer a helping hand whenever necessary without fearing for consequences, but Eli himself is kind-hearted and compassionate in his own way. Though he must distance himself from others in order not to become overly attached (and fear what happened between him and his fiancée repeating once again), it is clear in his polite and gentle way of speaking that Eli would never wish harm upon another.
Do they have a part of themselves they dislike?A man too secretive for his own good, there are a few traits he possesses that he wishes were not part of his personality. Stubbornness is one, and even his fellow Survivors recognize it as a part of Eli that he's a little embarrassed about. But what he truly feels sorrowful about is his loneliness, the fact he's only an observer and not supposed to come too close to others in fear he'll make the same mistake again. He speaks little about himself, both because he does not believe there's anything too interesting about himself, and because he simply shouldn't speak too much at all. He's a guiding hand, a passing, spring breeze; when Eli is around, others feel at ease, but not soon after he's gone, just like that. Despite his upbringing, the fact he's a druidic seer, Eli is still human through and through; just like any, he wishes to form meaningful bonds, as seen when he so easily fell for Gertrude at first sight. He's not exempt from wanting close friends or even more, but part of him loathes that he's bound to be alone for most of his life.
What is their sign, and why?Eli was bestowed the Empress sign, known for their kindness and nurturing heart. Though usually at an arm's distance from other people, those in the Manor know the Seer to be quite self-sacrificing, and selfless to boot. One of the skills he's granted during a match is to send his owl to tank hits for others (or himself, but mostly others), all the while receiving taxing for it. He puts his own well-being in line in order to keep his teammates and friends from harm's way. Not only that, but even his arrival in Oletus Manor was a prophecy and likely punishment for breaking the oath granted to him by his God; although he is not meant to speak of his visions, he did so to help his fiancée's family avoid bankruptcy — again, at the cost of his own life.
